I’m late, I’m checking the clock, I’m too late, I’m walking faster, I have too much to do, I’m late, I’m feeling overwhelmed….. next time I will say no. I need an evening off…. I’m going to do the last thing and then…..Do you know this kind of noise running through your mind?

Yes, of course.

Rushing gives us the feeling like we’re doing more and we like feeling busy. Busy people are interesting. Busy people always have something to do and when we are busy we can avoid some negative feelings.
But….life is not  a race.

Try to change your perspective.

Is this the life you want? Let’s just remind ourselves for a moment that the time we have on Earth is limited.
Is it so important to have a busy life? Or maybe is it better to have a brilliant life?

Truth is that there is no real hurry. There’s only the life we create for ourselves through stuff and busy plans. Just because society is always in a hurry, does not mean we have to be.

Make the conscious choice to do less.

Focus on what’s really important, what really needs to be done, and let go of the rest.
Do less. Enjoying, and appreciating life doesn't just happen. You must first pay attention to what is important for you, something you can’t see if you are thinking about what else needs to be done.

Every day you choose how you live your life, whether you’re conscious of it or not. And choosing to live an amazing life doesn’t have to be complicated.

What is important for you? Choose carefully where you want to put your energy, time and effort.

Do less.

Do what fits in with your values and your interests.

Barbara.
