How to take
care of yourself wondering in Rome!
Self-care
and a big city like Rome? Strange association, isn’t it? Yes and I can add some
more strangeness with the word “SAVOURING”?
What does
mean the word Savouring?
Savouring
just means that we attempt to fully feel, enjoy, and extend our positive
experiences. Savouring is a great way to develop a long-lasting stream of
positive thoughts and emotions, because positive events cannot always be relied
on to make you happier.
Amazing, isn’t it?
One of my
favourite ways to take care of myself is savouring moment with every sense and
thoughts. Feeling and enjoying the moment. Everywhere. I focus on some details
of my experience with all my senses trying to live a full, intense and complete
moment of my life.
Rome was a
place where I enjoyed every hour of my day deeply and deliciously.
Let me
explain why….
Imagine to
be in Rome and feel the need to take care of your mind and body, enjoying the city and live a fully experience.
Imagine …walk
on the streets slowly, see beautiful landscape focusing on the details of huge
architectonical places. The Beauty seduces all of your senses.
Smell the
food that come from the kitchen of an old taverna full of traditions. Imagine a
dish of a Carbonara spaghetti, delicious Italian recipe… you savour the bacon aroma
in the eggs cream….heaven for your taste.
Heard a city
full of life, people and world!!
Breathe
history looking at the Colosseum!
Clear your
mind losing your sight on the panorama from the villa Borghese Garden…lose your
eyes in the natural surrounding…
Live a mindfulness
moment looking at the Fontana di Trevi, take a deep breathe, focus on the water
sound…lose your mind in it.
Look the
colour of the water, the people around it with faces full of marvellous
feelings. Imagine to be in a famous movie…
Feel a deep sense
of connection with the people around you.
Notice
positive details everywhere, a cat on the feet of an old lady, they seem friends
forever…catch a stranger smile that warm you,
Notice the
various tastes, textures, and scent of the city…
Be aware of
your thoughts during this experience… positive thoughts and feelings create
wonderful memories of your experience.
All you have
to do is look for beauty and harmony, and in this moment is there all around you
at any given moment.
Savouring it,
enjoy it, live it.
Everything
is perfect. The moment is yours. The perfect moment for yourself.
